A standard container is 20 feet long (6 metres) and can hold 10,000 playstations.
The biggest container ship to call at the port was carrying 5688 containers.
And it's not just containers: Around 50 cruise ships visit Station Pier each season.
The port has been operating for around 150 years.
The main canal on the Yarra River is man-made.
Everyday the port handles:
Over 6000 containers.
More than 8 ships.
Around 1000 cars.
6300 tonnes of crude oil.
3200 tonnes of fruit and vegetables.
2300 tonnes of dairy products.
4200 tonnes of cement.
1600 tonnes of meat.
1000 tonnes of sugar.
