Reference Tariff Schedule

Reference Tariff Schedule 2017-18 effective 1 July 2017

This Reference Tariff Schedule (RTS) lists the Prescribed Services Tariffs to apply for the 2017-18 financial year commencing on 1 July 2017.  The RTS details all of the Prescribed Services which are defined by the Pricing Order under section 49 of the Port Management Act (Vic) 1995.

Other fees may be payable for services that are not Prescribed Services and these fees are set out in the Other Fee Schedule (Non-Prescribed Services).

This RTS is published in accordance with the Victorian Government’s Pricing Order approved by the Governor-in-Council in June 2016. The Pricing Order is available on the Victorian Government Gazette website, special gazette number S325 at www.gazette.vic.gov.au.

Industry Paper

As part of the process to set new prices effective 1 July 2017, which are published in the Reference Tariff Schedule (“RTS”), Port of Melbourne is seeking to engage with industry and has prepared a paper which provides a summary of the Pricing Order.  As per established practice of prior years, the RTS will be issued no later than 31 May this year.

Reference Tariff Schedule 2016-17

The Reference Tariff Schedule (RTS) for Port of Melbourne was reissued in November 2016 following completion of the Port of Melbourne Lease Transaction. The fees and charges outlined in the document remain unchanged from the RTS released by Port of Melbourne Corporation in May 2016 and will apply to 30 June 2017.

The RTS is published in accordance with the Victorian Government’s Pricing Order approved by the Governor-in-Council in June 2016 and revokes the Essential Services Commission’s (ESC) preceding Price Monitoring Determination for Victorian Ports 2015. Prescribed services which are regulated under the Pricing Order are denoted in the RTS document. The Pricing Order is available on the Victorian Government Gazette website, special gazette number S325 at www.gazette.vic.gov.au.
