Dynon Port Rail Link - Footscray Road OverpassBackground Dynon Port Rail Link (DPRL) was a joint project of the Australian and Victorian governments. It involved the construction of a direct, uninterrupted rail link into the Port of Melbourne. A 600-metre overpass, six-lanes wide, has raised Footscray Road over new railway lines. Two new dual-gauge main rail lines now connect the new port rail junction and the existing main rail line north of Footscray Road. The Victorian Department of Transport (DoT) managed the project. For more information about the project: Visit the DPRL - Footscray Road Overpass section of the DoT website.
