Dynon Port Rail Link - Footscray Road Overpass

Background

Dynon Port Rail Link (DPRL) is a joint project of the Australian and Victorian Governments and involves the construction of a direct, uninterrupted rail link into the Port of Melbourne.

A 600-metre overpass, six-lanes wide, will raise Footscray Road over a newly-built railway line. Two new dual-gauge main rail lines will be built between the new port rail junction and the existing main rail line north of Footscray Road.

Changes to traffic management:

The project is being managed by the Victorian Department of Transport (DoT) and the construction is being undertaken by Leighton Contractors Pty Ltd.
